Earthquake!

On Tuesday at about 7:30 p.m. I was sitting on the couch, and I felt an earthquake. I felt it start at my feet and work its way up until my entire body was shaking and rolling with the waves. The couch remained stationary, as did everything else in the house. Jeff had been outside, and when he came back in I asked him if he had felt it, too. He hadn't, but told me I was probably having a vision (he's lived with me long enough to know that the unexplainable will soon be explained).

I immediately got up, went to the computer and accessed the usgs.gov website to see if any quakes were happening - first in this area, then New Madrid/Arkansas and finally California. There was no activity anywhere except California, which was having dozens of tiny tremors. I posted to Facebook what I had felt and my research results, when one of my friends told me that a 7.2 quake had just hit Japan. I laughed and wrote: "on the usgs site it wants you to report if you felt it. Um, I can just imagine what they'd think if I said, "Yeah, I felt it - in Falls Church, VA" hahahaha."


So fast forward to tonight and Japan just had an 8.8 quake complete with dire tsunami warnings for much of the world. Was my precog telling us that we're entering an active seismic period to be filled with mega-quakes in the days (weeks) to come? Or will this be the end of it? Personally, if I lived in any of the quake-prone areas, I'd have my emergency provisions up-to-date and an emergency plan finalized just in case. Because it just might be the beginning...

On a separate note I received the following e-mail on Wednesday:

I replied with, "wow, I'm really flattered - thank you! I didn't think anyone even read my blog hahahaha!

So, woo hoo for me!!!! I looked at the other ghost blogs listed, and they're really interesting if anyone reading this wants to delve more into the paranormal :D
